Ruination Hotbed of Political Cover-ups

Ashley’s Ruination (5-4) took control of the third period to beat a surprisingly resilient Thompson’s Pizza Saturday night 5-2. Defenseman Jason Spence had two goals, including the game-winner, while Paul Sholtis had a goal and an assist. Jon Molnar, longtime friend of Sholtis, had a goal as well, but no assist.

“Yeah, I had an assist on Paul’s goal,” insisted Molnar. “I had a feeling they wouldn’t give it to me.”

Indeed, video replay footage showed Molnar was standing behind the icy knoll, but that Sholtis was the lone shooter coming in from the high slot. However, complaints have been issued that the Colwell Commission has sequestered key documents and film footage from spectators.

Conspiracy theories have popped up since the game suggesting that Molnar and Sholtis were working covertly in what is now being called “Frozen Watergate.” In fact, the theory has prima facie credibility after noting that Molnar’s goal included an assist by Sholtis.

Sholtis has denied all allegations, even disavowing any association with Molnar. “I would like to un-recruit him,” Sholtis said.

Molnar was not available for comment, but has defended his position by stating that the definition largely depends on what “is” means.
