ANN ARBOR–Winger Becca Koke promised to “tear it up” in Wednesday’s game versus the Goaldiggers and she did not disappoint, scoring a team record four goals and adding an assist as Aventinus won 7-2 in a route.
“That was the first hat trick I’ve ever had, so I was pretty excited!” Koke told reporters, smiling.
Koke has every reason to smile following the team’s contract extension offer, estimated at around $60 million dollars over the next 5 years. “Thanks again for bringing the money,” she said.
“We’re very happy to have her on the team,” said GM Mark Woods. “Like I used to say back in 1982: Koke is it!”
Others, however, expressed concern over the deal. “This isn’t real, is it?” asked Actual Mark Woods. “I, uh, I… I don’t have $60 million dollars. I’m just a research analyst.”
