TUSCALOOSA– Noticeably absent from the scoring sheet, forward Bob Brock has been moonlighting as a college quarterback, shedding several years and several pounds in the process, according to sources. Under the guise of “AJ McCarron,” Brock has guided his team, the Alabama Crimson Tide to a 9-0 record and a No. 1 ranking in the BCS poll. In addition, Brock helped Hopslam to a 5-1 victory over the Ice-o-topes.
Calling them “probably our toughest opponent yet,” Brock earned a roughing penalty late in the second period, which lead to a former Hopslammer Ryan Goodwin goal. GM Mark Woods called it a “good win penalty,” then asked if anyone “got it.”
The question sparked something within the team, leading to a 5 goal period, including three goals from Andrew Thompson. Chris Sutton and Jeff Price added a goal each, with assists from Jim Socha and Mark Woods.
“I’m not sure how Bob manages to juggle such a crazy athletic life, but he makes it work,” said Woods. “That said, I personally hope Florida State beats them for the national title.”
