ANN ARBOR– Amid the ashes of the 6-2 torching of the Goaldiggers at the hands of Ashley’s Aventinus, a smoldering sibling rivalry bubbled to the surface as Ron and Daryl Coleman compete for goals and assists.
“Daryl always gets the good assists!” exclaimed Coleman following Jeff Meden’s first of two goals. Ironically enough, Ron Coleman assisted on Meden’s second goal.
For the season, Daryl Coleman has 4 goals and 4 assists, while brother Ron has one goal and 5 assists.
Ken Coleman, who has 4 goals and 5 assists, scored the game-winner. “Grrrrrrr!” he exclaimed.
When asked about the sibling rivalry, he responded with disdain. “Grrrrrr!” he stated flatly.
Coleman went on to explain that he was far more concerned about the Lions’s win over the Chicago Bears Sunday afternoon, calling it a most “uncomfortable” game.
Nate Greenman had two goals and an assist, while Meden added two more assists. Mark Woods added a power play goal.
