ANN ARBOR– Defenseman Mark Woods expressed exasperation early Monday following Aventinus’s 1-4 loss over missing the American Music Awards hosted by ABC. “It’s bad enough that I won’t get to see if Taylor Swift wins Artist of the Year” said Woods. “But losing just adds a real sting to the whole thing.”

Taylor Swift clearly compensating for perceived inadequacies following the American Music Awards held Monday night. “You like these, boys?”
“And I hear that TLC is getting back together to perform!” added Woods. “And I missed it!”
Rather than stay home and watch television, Woods witnessed Jermaine Holland strike first for the Ice-o-topes 2 late in the first period. However, Nate Greenman answered almost immediately, tying the game at 1-1 to end the first.
However, a frustrating second period saw two more goals added, with a final insult added at the end of the third, when Adam Sniezek added an empty-netter for his second goal of the game.
“I hear Macklemore was going to perform,” continued Woods. I don’t even know who they are or he is or she is, but I wanted to see!”
Woods was later informed that the awards show would be aired live Monday night, and that he would not, in fact, miss the awards. “Yeah, but that’ll cut into my bookstore and coffee time,” lamented Woods. “Maybe I can DVR it.”
