ANN ARBOR– Despite his best efforts– which included yelling, cursing, tripping, checking, and more cursing– defenseman Sean Payeur was only able to amass a paltry 96 minutes for the Fall season. “I really wanted to get 100 minutes,” lamented Payeur.
“All he had to do was call the ref a (bleep) head, and he’d have gotten an extra 10 minutes,” said GM Mark Woods. “Go large or go home.”
The unfortunate, but inevitable result will include a 1-game suspension, which means Payeur will miss Ruination’s first-round match-up with Mott. “I probably got a game (suspension),” mused Payeur following his ejection in Tuesday night’s 12-2 win over Thompson’s Pizza.
Upon receiving the news, Payeur shrugged, then proceeded to regale teammates with impressions of fellow teammates, disparaging remarks that began with “I don’t mean to be a dick or nothing, but…”, and several belches that eventually formed the melody to Sister Sledge’s “We Are Family.”
