ANN ARBOR– In the wake of their 2-1 Game 1 victory Sunday night, forward Scott Coates announced that he was entering the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. However, Coates has reportedly misheard or misconstrued the challenge, mistaking it for something else.

“I can’t believe I’m doing this,” said an excited and soon to be crestfallen Coates. He later added that he was looking forward to making use of his “thingy.”
Coates, often noted for taking his “exploits” to awkward and inappropriate levels asked teammates, “Can one of you record it?” not knowing that he will be in for a cold shower.
“I’m not sure things will be looking up for Scotty,” said one of his teammates.
Shawn Lopez and Nate Greenman scored for Hopslam, with 2 assists from Matt Schaefer and one from Chris Sutton. All three agreed that they were looking forward to witnessing Coates realization of the challenge.
