Report: Loss Makes Weather Feel 10% Colder

ANN ARBOR– Researchers from the National Institute for Climate Assessment have found that losing hockey games changes one’s perception of the weather. “Brrrrr…” said a despondent Mark Woods following the 0-2 Aventinus loss Wednesday night. “Feels like it’s 5 degrees out.”

In fact, the temperature gauge read 6 degrees, consistent with the NICA report that concluded losing players often feel as much as 10% colder than actual climate conditions. Wind chills are also overestimated, particularly following a shut out.

“The wind chill must be minus fifteen,” mused Woods, not realizing the wind chill reading according to AccuWeather was -13 degrees.

The study also found similar results for people who have to work in the morning, regardless of winning or losing a hockey game the night before.
