ANN ARBOR– Success can come at a hefty price, and the pressures to maintain that success increases steadily. This was evident in the locker room following Aventinus’s 4-0 win over the Goaldiggers Wednesday night.

“It’s getting really hard,” said winger Thad Swutsheesed.

Aventinus notched it’s first championship last season and has raced out of the gate with a very respectable 6-3 record and a league leading 5 shutouts. However, the pressure to continue winning, especially given the success of the Leafs and Ice-o-topes have become evident on the faces of the players.

“We got to keep it coming,” noted Swutsheesed. “We don’t want to get soft.”

Ginny Klinesteker, Les Withrow, Kenny Schmidt, and Scott Bray each scored, though with little emotion beyond relief.
