Black Opts to Celebrate Lone Gunman

In a game that included 30 penalty minutes between the two teams, Ashley’s Ruination (1-1) dismantled Black Ops 6-1 Tuesday night. Forward Ramy Odeh had a hatrick, including the exclamation point– a shorthanded goal just minutes after Black Ops scored mid-way through the 3rd period.

The lone goal by Ops sparked cheers from the their bench, and jeers from Ruination, according to TV Guide.

Both teams played an aggressive brand of hockey, spearheaded by Ruination’s forward Sean McGrath, who received a game misconduct after committing four penalties. “That fourth one was bull (bleep),” said McGrath.

Despite the breakout performance, the team was stunned to discover later that Odeh was being sent back to New York. GM Mark Woods called it the “best decision for everyone.”

“Ramy is a great skater and a great guy, and he had a great game, but I really think this is the best decision,” said Woods. “He and I had a frank discussion, and agreed that he had some unfinished business in New York.”

Woods also added that he looked forward to seeing Odeh return “soon.”
