Father and Son: “We Do It All”

Ashley’s Aventinus (2-5-1) notched their second win of the season Wednesday night, beating Miller Lite 3-1 at Varsity Rink. Joe Crossno and Justin Baier each had a goal and two assists, while Steven Golombisky also added a goal and an assist.

The plethora of scoring has prompted some to hearken back to other great lines, such as the famed “Production Line” of the Detroit Red Wings. Others have noted the father/son pairing of Crossno and Golombisky, dubbing them the “Construction Line” after the Troy-based Father & Son Construction Co., whose commercials claim “we do it all.”

The outpouring from fans has not gone entirely unnoticed by teammates. Sources say that the ever popular line of Jen Perry, Amy Senne, and Ginny Klinesteker (aka the “Three Amigas”– a tribute to their fondness for the Commodore Amiga home computer from the late 1980s) plan to sit out for the first period of Sunday’s game versus the Goaldiggers.

“We… have another game at 10pm,” said Klinesteker.

GM Mark Woods noted the players were a bit out of control. “It’s like they are on some kind of rampage,” Woods noted.
