Aventinus Channel Milli Vanilli

ANN ARBOR–Ashley’s Aventinus finished their season on a somewhat flat note after losing to the Yak-a-Topes 5-6 Wednesday night on Varsity Ice, prompting the question: who is to blame?

“I blame it on (GM) Mark Woods,” said Chris Boulter, who finished with a goal and a penalty, known as a “Jordie Howe” hat trick after Hall of Famer Gordie Howe’s lesser known step brother, who played 24 years in the Forest Glade Ice Arena D-League in Windsor, Ontario.

“Why blame it on me?” asked Woods. “I wasn’t even there!”

Also exempt from blame included standout Becca Koke, who had two goals and three assists, and finished with 8 goals and 6 assists for the season. Chris Sutton added a goal and an assist, while Jen Perry added two assists.

“Gotta blame it on something,” said Milli, or possibly Vanilli. “Gotta blame it on something.”

Blame it on the rain,” he added.

“Wait, didn’t we already do this article before?” asked Woods.
