Ruination: Crazy Hot Six

ANN ARBOR–Ashley’s Ruination was six-crazed Monday night after leaving the Cleveland Steamers in a pile 6-4, running their record to 6-6. In fact, this marks the second straight game where the team had six.

“Well, it’s true what they say,” said GM Mark Woods. “Guys usually have six on their minds.”

Added Woods: “Six feels really good.”

Sean McGrath had the first of six mid-way through the first period. Referees noted that he did not have an assist, noting that he “took matters into his own hand.” McGrath had enough energy to do it again late in the third. Center Brian Lefevre also did it twice. In addition, Brett Vogel and Nate Greenman got some.

Several skaters did not score, including winger Dave Winn, who cited issues with a lady friend. “She’s extremely anti-social,” explained Winn as the reason he didn’t have six.

Several of the more savvy players suggested that getting six is easier if you know how to make a good pass. Suggestions such as “you must be a parking ticket ’cause you got FINE written all over you,” “good thing I have my library card cause I’m checking you out,” and “how about just the tip?” were offered.
