Tuesday Night LeFevre

ANN ARBOR–Ashley’s Ruination was treated to quite a show Tuesday night as No. 43 scored eight goals… that is, three for Mott’s Eric Bernard and five– yes, five– for Ruination’s Brian LeFevre in their 10-6 win. “I’ve played a lot of hockey,” said defensman Mark Woods. “And, I don’t think I’ve scored five goals total!”

LeFevre’s five goals overshadowed several other solid performances, including Jon Roklen’s two-goal return, Matt Schaefer’s goal and three assists, Brett Vogel’s four assists, and John Vella’s goal and two assists. In addition, Woods was encouraged by teammates and the media for several “good” shifts.

Actor Christopher Walken praised LeFevre’s performance, saying, “I got a LeFevre! And the only prescription is more Mott goals!”

The evening, however, was marred slightly when it was later reported that Anthony Manero’s childhood friend “Bobby C” fell to his death following an altercation on theĀ Verrazano-Narrows Bridge connecting Staten Island and Brooklyn. The incident allegedly prompted an all-night, soul-searching subway ride for Manero, leading to a reconciliation with dance partner Stephanie Mangano.
