Referee John McGovern was so disgusted with the performance, he simply left the competition, noting that the duo’s footwork was so bad that he felt as though his feet were “falling off.”

“We just weren’t in sync,” said Woods. “If we were, I get to be Justin Timberlake!”

Judge Bruno Tonioli, who refused to even score the pair, asked, “Did they say ‘tango’ or ‘tangled?’ Because that’s what it looked like!”

Barron and Woods finished with a score of 4-2, but thanks largely to Matt Schaefer’s 2 goals and assist and Jordan Swift’s goal and assist. Defenseman Jason Spence added a goal, while Brian Lefevre, Shawn Lopez, and John Vella each chipped in assists.
