ANN ARBOR– Ginny “Colonel Klink” Klinesteker improved her contract negotiations bid Wednesday night with her sixth goal of the season as Aventinus took down rival Yaks 3-2. When asked by reporters about the contract offers, she simply replied, “We (Canadian sports agent Lotta Loonies) can chat tonight.”
Hans Schultz, Ashley’s Director of Player Personnel noted that he “knew nothing” of any contract disputes.
League Director Abe Colwell has denied allegations that Klinesteker is now on the league “watch” list. Players who score an unusually high number of goals in a season are often targeted for random drug tests and are often moved out of the league on charges ranging from insubordination to investment fraud.
Combating this, Klinesteker has noted that she may opt for “Wednesdays only” next season, presumably to keep her scoring down while still playing a critical role on the team.
“It all comes down to what you’re willing to pay, and for next season, that’s $400 full time, and $225 part-time,” said Woods.
“You can pay via PayPal right now. Leave a deposit at least,” he added.
Jeff Meden and Nate Greenman added goals to complete the win for Aventinus. Jen Perry, Scott Bray, and Justin Baier each had an assist.
