ANN ARBOR– Teenage worlds can be an intricate web of complicated relationships where distinctions between those who are loved and hated blur. This complexity was most prominently featured late Tuesday night following Hopslam’s 2-6 loss to Bangtown.
“Me and Chris (Sutton) got tangled up a bit,” admitted forward Bob Brock. “I don’t think he was happy with me.”
Brock (assist) and Sutton (assist) were seen fighting for puck possession, with sticks and bodies running into each other repeatedly throughout the game, though intensifying late in the third period.
Very few words were exchanged after the game, but parents and general managers were uncertain what to make of the events. “They are both known to be a bit temperamental on the ice,” said GM Mark Woods. “I just wonder if they are still friends, or if they ever were.”
The question hung in the night air until celebrity gossip news source TMZ provided transcripts of a text message exchange between the two:
Sutton: Still BFFs?????
Brock: Totes!!!!
Sutton: Totes Magotes!
Brock: Lol! ;-P
While most people over the age of thirty admitted to not understanding one single line of text, the message seemed to indicate fondness toward each other despite the aggressive play. However, it was not certain if either player rolled their eyes or muttered “whatevs” during the exchange.
And, Brock still has not reportedly forgotten when Sutton allegedly called Brock “a pimply-faced sow belly” in 5th period Chem to Hannah, Emily, Madison, Kaitlyn, Caitlin, and Katelynn a month ago.
Oh, and Alexis, too. Slut.
