Aventinus defeated Miller Lite 4-1 late Wednesday night. Forward Mark Johnston joined the “Gal Line” with Ginny Klinesteker and Jen Perry to open up the scoring in the first period. Dave Ferguson and Joe Crossno chipped in a goal each in the second period, while Justin Baier capped the scoring later in the third. Goaltender Rusty Barron affirmed Miller Lite as less filling, holding them to just one goal in the second period. Aventinus will most likely face this same team in the playoff opener set for Sunday.
