ANN ARBOR– Ashley’s Hopslam beat Cubs AC Tuesday night 3-0 in a dominating defensive performance, though sources admit that it’s “really hard to focus on that” in light of the recently announced Amazon Fire Phone, set to be released exclusively through AT&T in late July.
“Mary Beth (Trainor) has a better goals against than me,” laughed defneseman and back-up goalie Brad Johnson, regarding Trainor’s shut-out performance and guady GAA (1.00). Wired.com reports that the new Fire phone comes with “dynamic perspective” technology, which will allow viewers to “look around onscreen objects, even peer behind them.”
Nate Greenman scored the first goal late in the period, while Shawn Lopez added two more goals in the third period. Both players said they feel “primed” for the playoffs. The Fire phone, according to Amazon’s website, includes a full year of Amazon Prime free, with an additional 1,000 Amazon Coins (worth $10) for “apps, games, and in-app purchases.”
“It’s an awesome looking phone,” said a distracted GM Mark Woods. When asked about the playoffs starting Saturday and the hopes of a championship run, Woods said, “I gotta have it.”
It was uncertain if he was referring to the championship or the phone. In all fairness, the phone looks pretty sweet.
