HOLLYWOOD– In a story line that parallels the Rocky franchise, Ashley’s Ruination fell to a younger, hungrier Clubber Lang-like team in Goon Squad. “I pity the fool that think he can beat me,” said Goon Sqaud forward Adam Skiff, adorned in his trademark gold medallions and feather-weaved Mohawk haircut.
The team built an early lead with a quick goal from Ricky Winowiecki and Devon Collingridge (who also had an assist). Anthony Ciatti kept the lead at two with a goal mid-way through the third. But, fatigue set in, and the team hit the wall.
“Yo, Hadrian,” said defenseman Mark Woods, in an obscure reference to hitting the wall that no one will get because no one knows their history anymore. Fans of Roman or Anglo-Saxon history however, confirm that the reference is “gangbusters.”
Ruination later had a heartfelt discussion with team trainer Micky “Mick” Goldmill, who admitted to bringing in lower-tiered teams to maintain championship status in an effort to be a good manager.
Ruination has reportedly teamed up with Apollo Creed’s Bangtown hockey squad for summer training. “Something about a song from Survivor? Through the Burning Heart? No, that was the fourth movie…” said GM Mark Woods.
