Aventinus got off on the wrong foot, and simply could not de-feet North Coast

DRUG STORE AISLE– Medicated creams and sprays spelled certain doom for Aventinus as they lost 0-3 to North Coast Sunday night to end their playoff hopes. Team captain Lindsay Aspercreme guided his squad to a decisive victory, crediting it to a complete team effort. “Teamwork is the best ointment,” he noted.

And, therein lies the rub. Aventinus simply could not put together a run. North Coast winger Paul “Peppy” Bismol noticed that right away. “They just didn’t have the runs,” he noted.

“Which is ironic, because they didn’t need any Preparation,” he added.

With the help of a goal from winger Benjamin Gay, and two assists from Mike Tinactin, North Coast moves on while Aventinus is left to deal with the loss. Tinactin expressed a tinge of sadness over seeing Aventinus lose. “I know how it burns,” he said, filled with empathy.

“He acts tough, but he feels the pain of others,” noted Aspercreme. “Right down to the tips of your toes.”
