Misplaced S’s Lead to Awkward Comments

ANN ARBOR– Ashley’s Hopslam fought back from a 3-4 deficit in the the third period to win 5-4 Wednesday night against former rival Yaks. Brad Johnson scored two goals, noting it was his “first two goal game  in a few years.” However, the event was overshadowed by several gaffes from public relations manager Sayit Doan-Sprayit, who served as PR manager for Bangladesh’s national cricket team, and admitted that English is not her first language.

“Brad’s Johnson was very excited,” said Doan-Sprayit. “When he tell me he score twice, he was gushing!”

GM Mark Woods was notably stoic, focusing more on team play. “I’m glad we won, but 5 goals and only three assists?” he asked. “We need to work harder.”

Doan-Sprayit defended the team play, noting that players shared in the joy and thrill of victory together. “Derek’s Johnson was also very excited for game,” she said. “He has been this way since he came from Viagra Falls.”

Doan-Sprayit then tried to put a positive spin on the comments Woods made. “Yes, Mark’s Wood is always hard on team, and for long time. But once he is done, he is real softy.”

“For an hour, maybe two if tired,” she added cryptically.

John Vella, Scott Coates, and Chris Sutton added goals for the win, while assists were credited to Matt Schaefer, Jeff Meden, and Sean McGrath.
