REDFORD– The drudgery and pressure to attempt writing a humorous article on a game three days past was considerably lightened with the airing of the animated hit movie “How to Train Your Dragon” on FX late Friday night. “I don’t watch a lot of movies,” said sports writer Mark Woods. “But that was a great film.”
Woods noted the excellent mix of comedy, drama, action, and pathos while also trying to figure out how to mention Les Withrow scored his first goal since returning to Aventinus in the 4-3 victory Wednesday night over the Goaldiggers in Aventinus’s home and home series. “The movie had an excellent mix of comedy, drama, action, and pathos,” said Woods. He then toggled between making a “Les is more” and “Les is Westmorland” jokes, but settled on noting that GM Mark Woods wanted “more of Les” next season.
“The movie featured an all-star cast of talented comic actors,” gushed Woods, while simultaneously trying to think of other funny things to say. Running late into the night and finishing the movie, Woods settled with mentioning that Mark Johnston, Nick Lamb, and Lauren Lobert each had goals in the win. “I’m pretty tired,” noted Woods. “Putting the TV on the Music Choice Light Classical channel was probably a mistake.
Woods proceeded to sleep through the night on the couch while Lalo’s “Scherzo Pour Orchestre” played.
