ANN ARBOR– The debate over which hunting season officially began this Fall was quickly resolved Sunday night following Aventinus’s 4-2 win over the Goaldiggers: Girl season.

According to sources, girl season opened sometime in mid-October. “This explains why (winger) Nate Greenman is absent every weekend,” noted GM Mark Woods. “And, why he has an unusually large set of camouflage leisure suits.”
With a plethora of hunting seasons available for Michigan sportsmen, whether it’s “bow” season (deer), “buck” season, duck season, or wabbit season, it is often difficult to keep track. However, some tell-tale signs of any given season are available for the more observant.
“You will often see men grow facial hair, as it will attract women during girl season, and catch bits of food all the rest of the time,” said Jane Doe, social psychologist and avid man hunter.
When asked what these hunters use to attract the girls, Doe mentioned several forms of bait, including: piles of money, standoffish attitudes, and “promises to love me forever.”
Many Michigan male residents, however, do not engage in the hunt, claiming the license fee is often too steep.
Amy Senne scored the opening goal, while Les Withrow, Justin Baier (2 assists), and Ken Coleman, returning from an elbow injury, each added goals in the win. Tom Colis and Joe Crossno each had an assist.
