What in Blazers?

ANN ARBOR– Ashley’s Ruination pulled off the improbable– winning not only against a B-League A2 Blazers 6-4 Monday night, but winning with only six skaters. Brian Lefevre had three goals, while Dexter Benda added two and an assist. Jordan Swift added a goal and an assist, Chris Sutton had three assists, and Austin Feeney notched an assist. Solid goaltending from David Monroe ensured the win.

Ruination finished its B-League tour with an impressive 2-0-2 recorded, thanks in no small part to management’s decision to bench defensive Mark Woods. “It wasn’t that he can’t skate well, keep the puck in the zone, or shoot with any real pace,” said GM Mark Woods. “It’s just that relative to the B-league, he can’t.”

“C-league, too,” added Woods.

Defenseman Mark Woods said the he was “looking forward to helping the team” make the games’ outcomes far less certain for the Winter season, whichever league it might be, excepting the D2 league, where he reportedly “rocks.”
