Clean Game Confuses Players

ANN ARBOR– Ashley’s HopslamĀ topped the Cleveland Steamers 6-2 Saturday night in a game that did not feature anything resembling dirty play. “This is what it feels like to simply be tired rather than hurting and tired,” asked Hopslam forward Jon Needaquote.

In a stunning turn of events, Hopslam and the Steamers got on the ice, played hockey, shook hands following the game, and went to their respective locker rooms to enjoy a beer before heading to the bar to enjoy more beer. Chris Sutton and Andrew Thompson each had a goal and two assists, while Bob Brock and Scott Coates had a goal and an assist each. Jim Socha and Peter Girz each had goals, while Matt Okray, David Gaydos, and Al Juback each assisted on a goal.

“It was a really clean game,” said a bemused Brad Johnson.

With no injuries or bad blood, neither team really knew what to do or say. “I guess we just go to the next game and play,” said GM Mark Woods.

“It feels weird not to call someone on the other team a douche,” added Woods.

In lieu of complaints and tending to injuries, the team settled for drinking even more beer.
