“Not a single forward on the Bears got past me, I didn’t commit any turnovers, and my plus/minus (+0) was probably the best it’s been all season,” beamed Woods.

“I also equaled my total goals scored for the season tonight,” added Woods.

Jordan Swift scored two goals, while Ricky Winowiecki, Jason Spence, Brian LeFevre, and Anthony Ciatti each added a goal. John Vella scored two assists, while Dexter Benda and Austin Feeney each added an assist.

The team recognized Woods’s contribution to the win, offering encouragement for his efforts. “That’s some great management,” said Swift.

When asked why Woods did not play a single shift despite dressing for the game, coach Eddie “Meany” Bo Beanie called it a “game time decision,” citing a preference for “actually winning the game.”

Said Woods: “I honestly can say I played the game of my life.”

Ruination takes a 1-0 lead in the finals series over the Bears. They face each other again Tuesday night.
