Ricky Tricky DJ Biz

ANN ARBOR– Look out, Nectarine! There’s a new dance party in town, thanks to DJ Tricky Ricky Winowiecki and his 80’s inspired set list. “Brilliant! Inspired!” said fans following the party.

Using a new business model known as the “Flash” party, Winowiecki showed up with DJ equipment and a full service bar in the locker room of Ashley’s Ruination, livening up the damp spirts of the team that had just lost 5-9 to the Ice-o-topes C team.

“It’s all part of my Spotify playlist,” explained Winowiecki, down-playing the event.

An artist in his own right, Winowiecki started the party with a cryptic email asking the world at large if they liked Steve Winwood. Trudging into the locker room tired and defeated, Ruination was greeted with cold beer and s bevy of Winwood hits. “The only thing missing was a disco ball and strobe lights… and maybe some shot girls,” said GM Mark Woods.

“They acted like they didn’t appreciate the music, but you know they did,” added Woods.

Winowiecki said he enjoyed the success of the party, and plans to scale things up to include live appearances of all of his favorite 80s, bands, particularly Johnny Hates Jazz, who have agreed to lip sync their hit Shattered Dreams, “unless the team loses, of course,” calling such a move “tacky.”
