Lao will be heading to the Philippines to compete in the Manila Vanilla Hockey League

MANILA– A blockbuster deal was signed, sealed, and delivered late Tuesday night following Hopslam’s loss to Cubs AC, dealing winger Kevin Lao to Fightin’ Lip-Syncers of the Manila Vanilla Hockey League (MVHL). Sources say this move was sent as a message to the Hopslam team that margin for error is very slim. “Kevin’s a great guy,” said GM Mark Woods, “But we had to shake things up a bit.”

Lao, a native son of the Philippines, expressed excitement over the prospect of being closer to family members, but did express hopes to return to Ashley’s. “I’ll be back in a couple of weeks,” he said hopefully.

Woods praised Lao’s attitude, expressing hope for the same. “I hope he makes it back. I asked him if he could bring me back some folders.”

Matt Okray and Nick Lamb each scored, with assists from Bob Brock and Andrew Thompson, each of whom hoped to be safe from the trading block.
