ANN ARBOR– Center Dave Winn has been implicated in a point-shaving scandal directly tied to the 0-4 loss suffered by Ashley’s Aventinus in their playoff match-up with the Goaldiggers Tuesday night. “Everyone knows Dave is the go to guy for a D2 League goal,” said a frustrated fan in the capacity crowd following the game.
With the catch phrase “Winn is in,” the center man has carved a reputation for scoring, including a 2 goal performance in a Friday D1 League game last week, having many fans chanting, “De-Winn in D1 and we won!” repeatedly.
However, Winn was nowhere to be found Tuesday night. Court ordered recovered text messages between himself and GM Mark Woods, cryptically asking: “Do you expect a good turnout tonight?”
Clearly, not good enough.
Federal officials are now searching for Winn, noting that he will most likely be near a chalk board poring over physics equations, a drug known on the streets as “math.”
