Aventinus Scraps Ad Campaign

SUNDAY– Aventinus officials following the team’s 6-0 win Sunday night over the Killer Bees stated the franchise would forego its forthcoming ad campaign proclaiming declaring “There must be somethin’ in the water!”

The phrase allegedly caught on as a social meme when goaltender Chris Sutton notched his third shut out in four games, including the Fall 2015 championship game, bringing Aventinus its first championship. “The guy has nerves of steel, eyes of Flint,” noted a fan. “He must be tapping into something extra.”

TUESDAY– Ruination proved once again that having “lots of players not named (defenseman) Mark Woods” on the ice leads to wins, as the team opened up an 8-3 victory over Mott C Men Tuesday night. “We joke that it’s just a coincidence,” said GM C. Sierra. “But, once is a coincidence, and twice is a trend.”

The GM has noted that his experience in such matters has led to his keen insight.

Added Sierra: “This ain’t my first auto show, if you know what I mean.”
