Woods looks up momentarily as he continues searching for Pokemon following Aventinus’ 1-4 loss Sunday.

ANN ARBOR– Despite suffering a 1-4 loss to the Yaks D2, Sunday night, defenseman Mark Woods noted that the evening was not a total loss after locating and capturing Meowth, a character featured in the Pokemon Go app. “It was tough trying to throw the Poke ball while passing the puck to Kenny (Schmidt), but that’s what makes the game so much fun.”

It was unclear if Woods was referring to the hockey game or the app.

“I’ve got Meowth. Now, I’m hoping to find Raichu, Sandslash, and Psyduck,” added Woods. “Whatever that means.”

Kenny Schmidt scored the lone goal for Aventinus, assisted by Bruce Connor and Dave Patterson, who is reportedly flew out to Frankfurt Germany following the game. “I’ll bet he finds a hundred different ones (Pokemon) at the airport in Germany,” mused Woods.

Sources say that following that speculation, Woods grew worried about battling Patterson in the future, as the Ice Cube is allegedly a Pokemon gym, though controlled by goaltender Richelle Reese… for now.

“Luckily, Dave’s not here, man,” said Woods.
