ANN ARBOR– Ashley’s Ruination boasted an audience “comparable to the NHL” Tuesday night in their 15-2 win over Kraken Beers, noted GM Mark Woods.
“It’s great to know that through hard work and dedication, we’ve built this team and this league up to the point that it rivals the NHL in terms of audience capacity,” added Woods.
Woods also noted that TV ratings are still not as high as the NHL, but that “at the rate the NBA’s ratings are sinking,” C-League ratings may be on par “within the next season or two.”
Sports Media Watch reported earlier Tuesday that Game 3 of the NBA finals garnered a 3.1 rating (5.94 million viewers).
