Pocket-Sized Ricky Real Hit with the Ladies

ANN ARBOR– It’s well-documented that people tend to shrink a bit with age, but few (besides Lily Tomlin) have achieved what seems the impossible: shrinking down to mere inches. Philanthropist and defensive player Ricky Winowiecki has achieved just that.

Winowiecki may be smaller, but he’s never been more loved.

“I’m not short, I’m fun-sized,” said the diminutive Winowiecki, who has considered changing his last name to Wee-nowiecki.

While being only about 12 inches tall has its challenges on the ice, it has not impacted his popularity in the slightest. In fact, he is more popular than ever, particularly among women between the ages of 24-55. “He’s really there for you,” said Connie Lingus. “It’s like he puts his entire self there… for you…”

Winowiecki responded that he was proud to be a part of the American Cancer Society’s efforts to battle breast cancer. “I’m proud to wear pink.”

When asked about the specific comments of Lingus, he laughed and said the “secret” to his popularity is his “ability to wrestle the little man in the canoe.”
