Hopslam Manager ‘Not Sure Why,’ But Has ‘Good Feeling’ About Upcoming Season

ANN ARBOR– General Manager Mark Woods expressed enthusiasm Monday as the Winter 2023 season is set to begin. “I can’t put my finger on it, but I just feel like this season will be a whole lot better.”

Members of the team also expressed similarly positive “vibes” as the new season approaches. “I don’t know why, but I just feel like we’re gonna do a lot better,” noted Matt Okray.

“Maybe all we needed was to get past 2022,” said defenseman Justin Baier. “It’s a new year, and somehow, that makes it all better.”

Most of the team expressed enthusiasm regardless of whether they are in the D1 or C2 league this season. “I’m pretty sure we’re going to score goals no matter what,” said forward Nic Schultz. “Call it a hunch.”

GM Woods summed it up as best he could: “It’s like that old saying goes– you can’t spell ‘Team’ without ‘Bring the Servais Brothers back to the team.'”
