Ruination Pooped Out Versus No.2 Goon Squad

Ashley’s Ruination (9-4-1) just didn’t have the wheels or enough personnel to fight off second-place Goon Squad (8-5-1) Saturday night, falling 2-8 in a tough game. The team kept it to within two goals up to the third period before Goon Squad opened it up mid-way through the third period.

“I’m exhausted,” said defenseman Brett Vogel.

“I had no gas in the tank,” said forward John Vella.

“I dropped a deuce,” said forward Jon Molnar.

“I dropped one, too,” said defenseman Mark Woods. “Wait, are we talking about hockey?”

Jason Spence, playing wing to cover the shortage of skaters, dropped in two goals, both in the third period. “That’s not a bad strategy,” said Spence, who seemed to enjoy playing forward.

Asked if he will continue playing wing, GM Mark Woods had nothing but more bad puns. “I don’t mean to keep you in sus-Spence,” he said, “but we will just have to wing it.”

“Wokka Wokka,” added Woods.
