Ruination Gets Its Period

Ashley’s Ruination (3-3) smelled blood Saturday night as the Black Bears left their net unprotected, scoring six times in 20 minutes thanks to youthful exuberance. After building a 6-0 lead at the end of the first, the refs called the game a forfeit and left both teams to continue on their own.

“Should we just scrimmage,” said Black Bear Kevin Fogelberg, feeling somewhat awkward.

“Would you guys feel bad if I just left?” asked winger Ricky Winowiecki.

“I was waiting for you to get some,” said Jon Molnar to defenseman Mark Woods. Molnar finished the game with two goals.

Woods, ever the gentleman, declined, saying that “it wouldn’t be right.” He opted to simply talk to the other team after the game, get to know them a little better.

Ruination has pulled back to .500 in time for their rematch against Goon Squad next Tuesday.
