HOPSLAM– An 8-2 win over Sasquatch Saturday night left Hopslam feeling confident that it could supplant an obscure Canadian super hero team known as Alpha Flight. “Who?” said pretty much everybody except for die-hard comic book fans in the 1980s, particularly fans of Canadian writer/artist John Byrne.
RUINATION– Operating in a parallel “negative” universe, Ruination lost 2-8 to the A2 Blazers Saturday night. “The dead giveaway was that everyone, including Matt (Schaefer), had wispy goatees and spoke in low growling tones,” said GM Mark Woods.
